Suggested Tour 5

Day 1 – Sao Paulo
Arrive Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airort at 5.00h in the early morning. Meet and greet and transfer to our downtown hotel. Morning at leisure. In the afternoon we will tour the city of over 17 million inhabitants, the largest in the southern hemisphere. Overnight in Sao Paulo.

Day 2 – Sao Paulo/Chapeco
Breakfast in the hotel. We start our day with an early morning visit to the CEAGESP , the largest agricultural produce distribution center in the country. After visiting the commercial sectors, we will stop for a snack and listen to a lecture on the CEAGESP . From here we will go to a supermarket. From here we will go for lunch. Afternoon at leisure. In the evening, we transfer to the Sao Paulo Guarulhos International Airport for the flight to Chapeco, RG2267 at 21.25h. Arrive Chapeco at 23.04h, meet our german speaking technical guide and transfer to our hotel. Overnight.

Day 3 – Chapeco/Concordia
After breakfast we will visit the industrial installations of the FRIGORIFICO AURORA which will take us all morning . We travel to Concordia where we will have lunch. Afternoon visit to FRIGORIFICO VARPI, a medium sized slaughter house. Dinner and overnight in Concordia.

Day 4 – Concordia
This morning we start with a visit to the EMBRAPA RESEARCH CENTER FOR SWINE AND POULTRY for a lectrure on big breeding in Brazil and the research that iS being done. After lunch we will visit local pig farms INCLUDING GRANJA BAGDA, one of the largest pib farms in the state. Dinner and overngiht in Concordia. While in Chapeco and Concordia, we will be accompanied by members of the Association of Swine Producers of the State of Santa Catarina and the communications department of the local state government.

Day 5 – Concordia/Lajeado
We leave the State of Santa Catarina early this morning and travel south to the State of Rio Grande do Sul and the town of Bom Retiro do Sul. Lunch en route. This afternoon we will visit the industrial installations of SINOS DOS ALPES (SENFER in Brazil) in the town of Bom Retiro do Sul . Drive to Lajeado and our hotel. Dinner and overnight in Lajeado.

Day 6 – Lajeado/Rio de Janeiro
This morning we will meet for discussions with members of the Brazilian Association of Swine Producers and the Association of pig Breeders of Rio Grande do Sul. Lunch and travel to Porto Alegre. Visit a Gaucho Festival before we go the airport to catch our flight to Rio de Janeiro. Arrive in Rio and meet our German speaking guide and transfer to our hotel on Copacabana Beach. Evening at leisure and overnight.

Day 7 – Rio de Janeiro
Full day tour of the city of Rio de Janeiro including Corcovado Mountain with the Statue of Christ and Sugar Loaf Mountain. A stop for lunch at Sol e Mar Restaurant. Evening transfer to the international airport for our flight home.
