Suggested Tour 6
Day 01 – Sao Paulo
Arrival in the morning, meet and greet by your English speaking local guide and transfer to your hotel. Leave the hotel for lunch followed by a tour of the city. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon. You will participate in a lecture and discussion on agribusiness in Brazil. You will leave the hotel for dinner. Overnight in Sao Paulo.
Day 02 – Sao Paulo
After breakfast transfer to the BM&F, Brazilian Mercantile and Futures Exchange for a lecture and discussions on commodoties. Leave the city to Santos for lunch followed by a visit to the Port of Santos to participate in a lecture and discussion on agricultural exports. On the way back to Sao Paulo, you will have a short tour of the twin cities of Santos and Sao Vicente and the beach resort of Guaruja. Arrive in Sao Paulo, dinner and overnight.
Day 03 – Sao Paulo – Piracicaba – Matao – Araraquara
After a very early breakfast, you will visit the CEAGESP before leaving the city of Sao Paulo on a two hour drive to Piracicaba and the EASLQ Agricultural University for a lecture and discussions. Lunch in Piracicaba and on to Matao, another two hour drive where you will visit the Citrisuco Industrial complex. Following this visit, you will visit the Marchesan Agricultural Equipment Plant. The Directors of Marchesan invite you to a barbeque dinner on their beef cattle farm. You will spend the night in Araraquara at a farm-hotel.
Day 04 – Araraquara – Sertaozinho – Franca – Ribeirao Preto
Depart early on the morning on a two hour drive to the Usina Santa Elisa, the world's biggest sugarcane plantation and industrial complex. Travel on to Franca to visit a coffee farm with lunch en route. Your overnight stop tonight with dinner will be in Ribeirao Preto.
Day 05 – Ribeirao Preto – Jaboticabal – Sao Paulo – Foz do Iguassu
After breakfast you drive to Jaboticabal to visit the University of Sao Paulo for a lecture and discussions on Biodiesel research. After a relaxing lunch, you will drive for four hours to Sao Paulo and the airport to board your flight to Foz do Iguassu. Your arrival will be late at night. You will transfer from the airport to your hotel.
Day 06 – Foz do Iguassu
After a hearty breakfast you will spend all day touring the falls and the Itaipu Dam and Hydroelectric Plant. Lunch during the tour. Dinner tonight will include an international show. Overnight.
Day 07 – Foz do Iguassu – Brasília
After an early breakfast you will leave for a visit to the falls in the Argentine with lunch included. Your tour will end at the airport back in Brazil to board your flight to Brasilia with a connection in Sao Paulo. Arrive in Brasilia and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 08 – Brasília
After breakfast you will start the day with a sightseeing tour of the Capital of Brazil and a stop at the Ministry of Agriculture for a lecture and discussions. After lunch you will drive out to the Embrapa Cerrados Research Center for lecture and discussions. Return to your hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 09 – Brasília
After breakfast you will spend all day with visits to the Pamplona farm in nearby Cristalina with lunch included. Back to your hotel, dinner and overnight.
Day 10 – Brasília – Cuiabá – Rondonópolis
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuiaba. Arrive in the morning and a bus transfer to Rondonopolis with a stop en route for lunch and an afternoon farm visit. Dinner and overnight.
Day 11 – Rondonópolis
Breakfast and out for a full day of visits, the Mato Grosso Foundation and Aprosmat in the morning followed with lunch and visit on the Farm. Return to your hotel for a lecture and discussion with Farmer Christopher Ward. Dinner and overnight.
Day 12 – Rondonópolis – Cuiabá – Rio de Janeiro
Early morning breakfast and early departure from Rondonópolis to Cuiaba for your flight to Rio de Janeiro. Time and weather permitting you will get to see part of the Pantanal. Arrive at night in Rio and transfer to your hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 13 – Rio de Janeiro.
Breakfast and out for your full day tour of the beautiful city with lunch included. Dinner and Samba Show.
Day 14 – Rio de Janeiro.
Breakfast and day at leisure before your transfer to the airport for your flight home. |
